But is Lisbon Airport Fast Track actually worth paying for?

For many travellers, particularly during busy departure periods, yes. However, there is one important limitation to understand: Fast Track only helps you get through airport security. It does not let you skip check-in, boarding or passport control.

Instead of joining the normal security queue, you head towards the Fast Track lane and scan your boarding pass and Fast Track QR code.

It makes the most sense if you have an early or busy morning departure, are travelling during summer or a holiday weekend, have limited time at the airport, are travelling with children, or simply prefer paying a small amount for a more predictable security experience.

It is less useful if the airport is quiet and the standard security queue is already moving quickly.

Recent passenger reports illustrate how variable the experience can be. Some travellers have reported going through normal security in around 15 minutes, while others using Fast Track during busier periods described noticeably longer queues in the regular lane. These are individual experiences rather than guaranteed waiting times, but they show why the value of Fast Track depends heavily on when you travel.

At 11€, you are essentially paying for insurance against a long security queue, rather than paying for a guaranteed number of minutes saved.

Does Lisbon Airport Fast Track include passport control?

No. This is the most important thing to know before buying it.

Lisbon Airport Fast Track only provides priority access through the security checkpoint.

It does not give you priority at passport control or immigration. ANA describes the product specifically as priority access to security and states that it does not replace or shorten check-in, security screening or boarding procedures.

This matters particularly if you are travelling from Lisbon to a non-Schengen destination, because you may still have to go through passport control after security.

For example, passengers flying to destinations such as the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom should not assume that buying Fast Track will allow them to bypass every airport queue.

You can save time at security and still encounter a queue later at passport control.

Does Fast Track work at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2?

Yes.

ANA currently offers Fast Track at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Lisbon Airport.

Terminal 1 handles most flights, while Terminal 2 is mainly used by selected low-cost airlines.

How to book Lisbon Airport Fast Track

The safest option is to book directly through ANA, the operator of Lisbon Airport.

After booking online, you receive a voucher containing a QR code. At the airport, head towards the Fast Track security lane with your boarding pass and voucher ready.

ANA also warns passengers about websites selling unauthorised Fast Track services and says that only Fast Track sold through ANA or supplied through an airline provides an official valid QR code.

You may also have Fast Track included with certain airline tickets or benefits, so check your boarding pass before paying separately.

Bookings can normally be cancelled or amended until one hour before the booked time.

How much time does Fast Track save at Lisbon Airport?

There is no fixed amount of time.

If normal security takes five or ten minutes, Fast Track may save almost nothing.

If a large number of flights are departing at the same time and the security queue becomes busy, it could save considerably more.

For a quiet midweek flight when you have plenty of time, it is much less necessary.
